Incidents/Injuries: JCPenney is aware of five incidents involving the deep fryers, including one report of a minor burn and three reports of damaged countertops. Description: The Cooks deep fryer has a brushed stainless steel exterior, a wire mesh basket with a handle, a lid with a window and black handles. The deep fryer has a 1/3-gallon capacity. ?Cooks? is stamped on the side of the deep fryer. Model number 22016 is printed on the bottom of the deep fryer. Fire: Hamilton Beach Recalls Toasters Due to Fire Hazard

2008 Mar 6 | Hazard: The spacing of the holes in a concentrated pattern allows the holder to heat-up. This can cause the tealights to burn unexpectedly fast and with a higher flame height than normal, posing a fire hazard. Incidents/Injuries: Pier 1 Imports has received seven reports of high flames. No injuries have been reported. Description: The metal Tealight Candle Holder measures 7” x 7” and has a silver metallic top with a black base. It has nine square openings for use with tealight candles. The product’s SKU number 2174941 can be located on the bottom of the base. This can pose an injury hazard to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: The Wenzel Company has received one report of the batteries in the car charging unit overheating and the unit bursting. No injuries or property damage have been reported. Description: This recall involves the car charging units included with L.L. Bean Raised Insta-Beds with Wenzel model numbers 822628 and 822629. These model numbers correspond to LL Bean catalog number 55780. The model number can be found on the product packaging. The car charging units are connected to the cigarette lighter outlet found in most cars. Manufactured in: China Sold at: L.L. Importer: Greenbrier International Inc., of Chesapeake, Va. Hazard: The recalled glue guns can short circuit, causing the gun to smoke and catch fire. This poses fire, burn and shock hazards to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: Dollar Tree is aware of seven incidents in which these glue guns short circuited resulting in two injuries, including electrical shock and burns. Hazard: The chairs can collapse or fall backward due to faulty support brackets or weak frames, posing fall and severe laceration hazards to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Bond is aware of 13 incidents in which the recalled chairs fell backwards or collapsed. There have been eight reports of injuries. Incidents/Injuries: Pier 1 Imports has received 21 reports in total of glassware that cracked or broke, including one injury involving a minor cut from broken glass associated with a previous recall.
Description: The recalled glassware pieces involve large and small tumblers, goblets and margaritas. The bottom half of the tumblers is aquamarine and the top half is yellow. The bottom of the margaritas and the goblets is clear and the top is aquamarine and yellow.

2007 May 3 | Sagittarius Sporting Goods Recalls Gas Grills Sold at Lowe's Stores for Fire, Burn Hazards. Hazard: Some of these grills could be missing a hose that connects the grill manifold to the side burner, which poses a risk of fires and burn injuries to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: About 30,000 of these grills in inventory have already been inspected, and 17 units were found to have missing hoses and repaired. No injuries or consumer incidents have been reported.
Description: The recall involves 25-inch by 18-inch Perfect Flame brand, four-burner, stainless steel gas grills with date codes JU, JV, JW, JX, JY, or JZ. The name "Perfect Flame" is on the grill hood. The model number, 2518SL, and the date code are located on a label inside the left front door of the grill.

2007 April 5 | Sears Warns Craftsman Circular Saw Owners. The 'Craftsman' logo label located on the upper blade guard can become partially detached and interfere with the proper operation of the lower blade guard, exposing the saw's blade and posing a laceration hazard to consumers. Sears has received two reports of the blade guard catching on the label with one incident resulting in an injury to the user that required 12 stitches. The saws were sold at Sears, Kmart, and Orchard Supply Hardware stores nationwide and online through these stores from November 2004 through February 2007 for between $40 and $60. 2007 April 26 | The Holmes Group Recalls Oil-Filled Electric Heaters Due to Fire Hazard. Hazard: A poor electrical connection within the heater can lead to overheating. This poses fire and thermal burn hazards. Incidents/Injuries: The Holmes Group has received reports of 59 incidents involving the recalled heaters. There were 12 reports of minor injuries including four reported burns. There were 36 reports of property damage including four fires that caused between $41,000 and $200,000 in damage.
Description: The recall involves Holmes oil-filled electric heaters with model number HOH2505 and HOH2520. The model number and "Holmes®" are printed on the side of the unit near the bottom.

If the hair dryer falls into water during use and is not equipped with this safety device, it can pose a shock and/or an electrocution hazard to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
